We had the Thai Beef Rendang, Thai Salad, Beef Noodle Soup, Chicken Burger and Brekkie Breakfast. They were all delicious and well balanced. The wait for food took a while but worth the wait. The coffee was excellent, we had the long black and latte. Definitely will be back for the food when we are not in a rush.

Owner Rasy put everything into her food and hospitality. 6th child is a place you can always come for amazing food and know it will hit the mark everytime. Her food is filled with flavour and her items on the menu are quite unique for brunch and dinner options. Her meals have an amazing Asian twist and even the ingredients she uses are of high quality. It’s a place I love coming back to over and over again due to the consistency and value for money. I love supporting local businesses who put their heart in everything they do!

This hidden gem is potentially too hidden, but the hard-working ladies here produce delicious, unique dishes whilst also being familiar enough that there's something for everyone. Smiling service, good coffee and one of the few places which haven't raised prices in the last year. Hope everyone helps keep this little business going.

The food is VERY, VERY DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend checking them out, we have been there twice in three weeks and both times I was extremely happy with the flavours. The staff are very kind and friendly and the prices are definitely lower than you'd expect for the quality. The interior looks very vintage in the most positive way but I would go here for the food not the decor, don't think twice, the food is amazing!

I had this crispy pork belly with some rice and side salad infused with hoisin coconut which was rich, sweet and perfectly balanced. This dish is truly a hidden gem, each bite of the crispy pork was a perfect combination of crunchy, tender and refreshment. Definitely worth trying!

Went there for brunch. It was a very good discovery! Ordered : Thai beef rendang --- It was perfect! It has a very good texture, quite tender while maintaining its texture. It has a typical but authentic beef rendang, strong and spicy. The rice also cooked nicely, not too dry and definitely not too soft. And the Asian slaw surprisingly added a nice balance to the "heaviness" of the beef and the spices. One of the best beef rendang I've ever encountered in Melbourne. Braised beef noodle soup --- It was light but tasty at the same time. Feels refreshing too. The soup has certain sweetness to it that makes it unique, very typical Thai style :) The beef slices were very tender and tasty. Coffee --- It's quite light but very smooth. Very enjoyable, feels like you can have free flow of it for the entire day!

Quite frankly the best and best value for money breakfasts for miles around. Just had the Veggie Big Breakfast and the baked beans with dill were outstanding, the eggs perfect, and the wedges were as crunchy and delicious as possible. Coffee (Kaplan) is always 10/10 and two breakfasts and two large coffees comes in at under $50! Truly blessed to have this nearby!

2023.10 A must-visit place with delicacy to die for. Coffee is nice for sure. Chef is extremely experienced in spices and flavors, the smashed avo (with that amazing marinated mushroom), shakshuka (that sauce my gosh), and the vegetarian wok tossed noodles (couldn’t help but finished the whole plate) were so on spot. I definitely left as a satisfied food lover. Thank you, the 6th Child Cafe!
